8 Bangladeshis detained in Singapore for terror link

RTNN News Desk: Singapore has arrested eight radicalised Bangladeshis under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

They were arrested in April this year, the Singapore Home Affairs Ministry (MHA) said on Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by the ministry, they were planning terror attacks including assassinations to establish an Islamic state in Bangladesh.

The suspects had originally planned to go to Syria to join the Islamic State group, the Singapore home ministry said.
