Home Minister hints for further crackdown

RTNN News Desk: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has hinted for further crackdown across the country like the weeklong countrywide anti-militant special drive that ended at 6:00 am on Friday.

 

The Minister said, "Such the drive will be conducted in future as well."

 

Law enforcers arrested 194 suspected militants in a weeklong countrywide anti-militant crackdown that ended at 6:00 am on Friday.

 

Police started the anti-militant combing operation from 6:00 am on June 10 in the wake of recent ‘targeted killings’.

 

Home Minister told reporters at his Dhanmondi resident on Friday morning that the nationwide crackdown was conducted in a bid to suppress militancy. No innocent was harassed during the drive.
