Tk 1.95cr looted from Brac Bank branch in Joypurhat

RTNN News Desk: In a daring heist, burglars looted Tk 1.95 crore from the volt of a Brac Bank branch by breaking open its wall in the district town on Saturday night.

Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Abdur Rashid said the bank employees found the volt broken and the money missing in the morning and informed police.

The closed circuit (CC) camera of the bank, housed on the second flood of Shajahan Mansion, was disconnected by the burglars during the robbery committed some time at night.

Police and Rab members visited the spot.

Commander of Rab-5 Joypurhat camp Major Abdur Rahim said two night guards of the bank - Harun and Helal -- have been detained for interrogation.
