One,two taka notes-coins to stay in market

RTNN News Desk: The government has backtracked from its previous decision to withdraw all notes and coins​ worth Tk1 and Tk2.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith disclosed the decision while addressing a programme at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on Monday morning.

The minister said: "Tk1, Tk2 will remain in the market."

Earlier on Sunday, Muhith said: “Once these notes and coins reach the banks, they will never be circulated again.”
