15 percent VAT from July : Muhit

RTNN News Desk: Finance Minister AMA Muhith today said that the government would impose 15 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) from July, 2016.

The decision was made at a meeting between the finance minister and the visiting mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Dhaka this afternoon.

The finance minister said that the IMF has decided to disburse $280 million in two installments of its Extended Credit Facility (ECF) loan at a time to Bangladesh by June 22 this year.
