Police foils Pak HC besiege programme

RTNN News Desk: Police on Wednesday foiled a bid to besiege Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka by a number of organizations protesting some recent killings taken place in the country.

Police intercepted the organizations members when they approached Gulshan-2 crossing and tried to go towards the high commission in the morning. Later, they held a rally there.

Several organizations under the banners of Amra Muktijoddhar Santan, Muktijoddha Samannay Parishad, Sramik League and Chhatra League took part in the programme.

DMP (Gulshan Zone) Additional Deputy Commissioner Ahadul Islam said the protesters have been stopped at Gulshan 2 for security purpose in the diplomatic zone.

They stayed there for 15-20 minutes, he added.
