RTNN News Desk: The Apr 28 Dhaka and Chittagong city corporations elections have forced HSC and equivalent examinations to be pushed back to early May.

Tests scheduled for Apr 26, 27 and 28 will be taken on May 2, 4, and 16 respectively, the education ministry announced on Monday.

Examinations of Apr 26 will be held at 10am and 2pm on May 2.

Tests under the vocational board scheduled for Apr 27 will take place at 10am on May 4.

HSC and equivalent examinations of Apr 28 will be held at 10am and 2pm on May 16.

About 1.1 million students are sitting the tests that began on Apr 1 amid non-stop blockade and shutdowns enforced by the BNP-led alliance.

The education ministry had said that the tests of three days would be deferred during the city polls.
