87.04% pass SSC exams

RTNN News Desk: A total of 87.04% of students have passed in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations.

Some 111,901 examinees have got GPA-5.

In Chittagong Board, 82.77% students passed the examinations. A total of 7,116 students achieved GPA-5 in the board.

A total of 84.22% students paased in Comilla Board. Some 10,195 students got GPA-5.

The pass rate in Madrasa Board is 90.20% and 11,338 students secured GPA-5.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has handed over a copy of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 10am.

The minister will formally announce the results in a press conference at the secretariat in the afternoon.

After the announcement, students will be able to collect their results from their respected schools.

Results will also be available through mobile operators’ short messaging service (SMS) and at the www.educationboardresults.gov.bd website.

This year, a total of 1,479,256 students from 27,808 institutions across the country under the 10 educational boards took the examination.

The SSC exams starting date was shifted twice within a week from the original date of February 2 to February 4 and then again to February 6, a Friday, due to sudden nationwide hartals.
