CUET closed for indefinite period

RTNN News Desk: Authorities of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet) have shutdown all the activities of the university's honours level for an indefinite period following students' protest.

The decision was made at an emergency meeting on Thursday morning.

The students have been staging protest in the university since a couple of days, demanding the resignation of Student Advisor Prof Dr Ashitosh Shah.

University's PR officer Fozlur Rahman said: “The male students have been asked to vacate the halls by 3pm today [Thursday] while the female students will have to leave by 10am Friday morning.”

He, however, said the activities of the masters level will run normally.
